Final Main Event Standings

• Andrew Samuelson is the 2009 Virginia State Chess Champion.  That's Andrew's second title (he won in 2006 also).  Andrew finished with a final score of 5.0/6, drawing with former State Champion Ed Kitces in the final round.  2/3d Place was a 4-way tie at 4.5/6 among Dov Gorman, Ed Kitces, James Schuyler and young Jeevan Karemsetty who also won the Top Class A prize and the Richard DeLaune Memorial award.

• Ernie Schlich captures the Top Amateur honors with his perfect 6.0 Score.  Tip Wolfe and Vignesh Rajasekaran tie for 2nd/3rd with 5 points each, Wolfe also captures Top Junior honors.
