Tournament Schedule

• Friday, March 7th, 5PM - 9PM

  • Check-in:  If you have not mailed your $25 Advance Entry Fee (post-marking it by March 3rd), then you must pay by 9PM on Friday evening at the Tournament Site.  Any player who has not paid his/her fees will NOT BE PAIRED for Round 1 of the Tournament with out the express consent of the Chief Tournament Director on a case-by-case basis.

  • The Friday evening Check-in period is ONLY for players who need to pay, or who still need to Register for the tournament.  Everyone does not need to come to the Check-in Desk on Friday night.

  • Late Registration.  This is the last chance for any player to Register for the tournament.  Late Registration fee is $40 per player.

• Saturday, March 8th

  • Opening Ceremony:  In the Playing Hall at 8:30 AM.

  • Round 1:  9 AM, Time control is Game-60 in all sections.

  • Round 2:  12-noon, Game-60..

  • Round 3:  3 PM, Game-60.

  • Round 4:  6 PM, Time Control is Game-90.

• Sunday, March 9th

  • Round 5:  8:30 AM, Time Control is Game-90.

  • Round 6:  12-noon, Game-90.

  • Awards Ceremonies:  By-section, about 30 minutes after a Section completes its last game.

Awards

• All Scholastic Sections (K-3, K-5, K-8, K-12):

  • 1st-20th Individual trophies, medals to all players tied for 20th.

  • 1st-15th Team trophies

  • Participation Ribbons to all players

• Collegiate Section:

  • 1st-5th Individual trophies, plus Cash Prizes (amount based on number of entries)

  • 1st-5th Team trophies
