We are please to announce that this year's Simul will feature
WFM Abby Marshall
Reigning Virginia State K-12 Champion
and the first female to win the prestigious
Denker Tournament of High School Champions

WFM Abby Marshall, USCF rating 2229 (January 2010)

• On Saturday during the tournament, Womens FIDE Master (WFM) Marshall will play a Simultaneous Exhibition with tournament players ... and any parents ... willing to test their skills!!

• WFM Marshall will play 20 players at a time, making a move at each board then moving to the next board.  Participants must be unrated, or rated USCF 1600 or below.  After a player at a seat wins, loses, or draws, another waiting player can take a seat to play WFM Marshall!

• Cost to play:  $10 per player (please have correct change).  We will have prizes if you win or draw against WFM Marshall.

• Location:  Near the Main Playing Room at the tournament.

• The "Simul" (as it's called in chess) will occur on Saturday, March 13th, at the following two times:

  • 12:30 PM, 30 minutes after the start of ROUND 2

  • 3:30 PM, 30 minutes after the start of ROUND 3

• How to "sign up":  There is no "advance sign-up" for the Simul.  Just have a seat at one of the open places at the table ... and put your $10 on the board.
