Friday, March 16th

• ALL PLAYERS MUST REGISTER FOR THE MAIN TOURNAMENT BY 9PM ON FRIDAY, MARCH 16^th

• ON-SITE  / LATE REGISTRATION:  

  • 3PM to 9PM at Tyson's Westpark Hotel (SIGNS WILL BE POSTED) 

  • There is no registration desk on Saturday or Sunday. 

  • The phone number at the Registration Desk will be 757-846-4805.

• Blitz:  Round 1 at 6:00 PM on Friday, March 16th

  • ON-SITE Registration and Payment for Blitz if from 3-5:30 PM.  Players not paid for blitz by 5:30 PM will not be paired for Round 1 of the Blitz Tournament.

  • We expect Blitz to finish about 8:30 PM.

  • Blitz awards will be distributed on Sunday Morning at 15 minutes before we start Round 5 of the Main Tournament ... see below.

• Check-in:  You only need to "check-in" if you meet one or more of these criteria:

  • You want to play in the blitz tournament and have not paid or registered

  • You need to pay your entry fees for the Main Event, or you still need to register

  • You need to change a player's or your Team's registration information

  • You want to check on your Team Room status

  • You have other questions about the Tournament

• Main Tournament (Saturday and Sunday):  Players who have not paid their fees by 9PM on Friday evening at the Tournament Site will NOT BE PAIRED for Round 1 of the Tournament unless cleared to play by the Chief Tournament Director on a case-by-case basis.

• Late Registration.  This is the last chance for any player to Register for the tournament.  Late Registration fee is $40 per player for the Main Event, and $15 for Blitz.  Late Registration for the Main Tournament ends at 9PM Friday evening.

Saturday, March 17th

• Opening Ceremony:  In your respective Tournament Room at 8:50 AM.

• Round 1:  9 AM, Time control is Game-60 in all sections.

• Round 2:  12-noon, Game-60..

• Round 3:  3 PM, Game-60.

• Round 4:  6 PM, Time Control is Game-90.

Sunday, March 18th

• BLITZ Awards:  8:20 AM in the Playing Hall

• Round 5:  8:30 AM, Time Control is Game-90.

• Round 6:  12-noon, Game-90.

• Awards Ceremonies:  By-section, about 30 minutes after a Section completes its last game.
