February 2025 | Jan 31 - Feb 2 | **4th Annual Coastal Virginia Open. Friday Jan 31 - Sunday Feb 2 in Virginia Beach, VA, at the Wyndham Oceanfront, 5700 Atlantic Ave in VA Beach. Orgainzed by teh Hampton Roads Chess Association. $$3,500 guaranteed Prize Fund. Chess rate for Hotel rooms is $89 plus taxes & resort fees (about $112 total), rate is available until Jan 17th. This is a 5-round tournament, US Chess rated. Play is in 3 sections in the main tournament--Open, Under 1600, and Under 1200.
