The tournament consists of three events:
-
The Blitz Tournament:
Friday evening March 8th, with Round 1 at 6:30 pm. We play 4
rounds, maybe 5, depending on the number of players. Games end
about 8:30.

The 5-round "Main Event":
Saturday and Sunday, with Round 1 at 9 am.

A Parents & Friends (P&F)
Tournament: Saturday and Sunday, with
Round 1 at 12:45 pm on Saturday.

There are
9 Sections of play in the
Main Event:

K-3 Championship & K-3 Under
600. The K-3 Under 600 Section
is for players rated 599 and below, including Unrated players.

K-5 Championship & K-5 Under
1000. K-5 Under 1000 is for
players rated 999 and below, including Unrated players.

K-8 Championship & K-8 Under
1200. K-8 Under 1200 is for
players rated 1199 and below, including Unrated players.

K-12 Championship & K-12
Under 1400. K-12 Under 1400 is
for players rated 1399 and below, including Unrated players.

College.
Open only to players enrolled in college, not open to
HS students attending college. The College Games are only on
Saturday.

NOTE:
Unrated Players can play in the Championship or Under section
within their grade group.

THE MARCH 2024 US Chess Rating Supplement. The
March Rating
Supplement will be on line with US Chess starting on/about Thursday
or Friday, February 15th or 16th. If you are not sure how to look-up a player's
rating,
